I am a Melbourne (Australia) based photographer, who enjoys travel photography.
I don't necessarily consider myself an artistic person based on what I have done professionally in my life. I have worked as a Geologist (briefly); a career as an Army Officer (20 years); a Lawyer (Commercial Litigator and Partner) and a Legal Recruiter. Not much room for artistic expression there!
However, I have always had a camera ......
This site is my effort in recording those wonderful places, events and people I have met on my travels, particularly with my wife.
I really can't recall a time when I wasn't without a camera. I have always been fascinated with recording memories of places I have visited.
As we get older, and our memories fade, a picture reminds us of what was and where we have been.
Enter the digital age and we now store our memories on phones or computers. I have made a point of transferring those photos to photo books for each trip my wife and I go on.
And so, the journey becomes one of travelling to a new place, recording those travels, coming home and revising/editing the photos and finally transferring them to a photo book.
That way when we are unable to travel (or remember) we will have a place to sit and go through what once was!
